Slamdance is a year-round organization created by filmmakers, after being snubbed by Sundance, to promote authentic independent cinema. Slamdance Film Festival alumni include some big names, like Christopher Nolan, Marc Forster, Jared Hess, Oren Peli, and Lena Dunham.
And the 2014 film festival's competition lineup looks promising, with 10 narrative features and eight documentary features.
