Celebrate the year gone by with a great meal. Here are some of our favorite places to dine for New Year's Eve (make your reservations now):

WASATCH FRONT

Caffe Niche779 E. 300 South, SLC

Caffe Niche will host a five-course dinner, starting at 5 p.m., on New Year's Eve. Diners will start with an amuse bouche, before moving on to soup or salad, followed by a choice of appetizer, entree and dessert. Entrees include coffee rubbed buffalo short ribs, wild day boat direct shipped fish and house made tortellini. The cost is $50. On New Year's Day, Niche will serve brunch from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Bambara202 S. Main Street, SLC

New Year’s dinner specials are available from 5:30 p.m., inlcluding short ribs with Dungeness crab and truffles, oysters with champagne mignonette, blood orange salad and buckwheat blinis with caviar. On New Year’s Day, the full Sunday Brunch menu will be served from 8 a.m. to noon.

Oasis Café151 S. 500 East, SLC

Take advantage of the four-course prix fixe menu, including entrees like seared scallops, roasted filet mignon and herb crusted chicken breast. The menu’s available starting at 5 p.m. for $37. Or go for New Year’s Day brunch—traditional breakfast dishes, soups, salads and sandwiches.

Faustina454 E. 300 South, SLC

Traditional and new American favorites in a four-course menu, served from 4 p.m., $50. Entrees include pink peppercorn crusted beef tenderloin, roasted rack of lamb, crab stuffed halibut and veal osso buco.

Fleming’s Prime Steak House & Wine Bar

Three-course prix fixe experience with a filet mignon paired with an eight-ounce lobster tail for $69.95 per guest. The menu’s available at all locations during normal business hours.

Pago878 S. 900 East, SLC

Go for the five-course tasting menu, $70, including main courses bacon wrapped pork tenderloin, black cod, smoked beef short rib, duck breast and tortelloni. For dessert, house cronut, Millcreek chocolate ganache and mascarpone cheesecake.

Finca1291 S. 1100 East, SLC

Pay homage to the Spanish tradition of eating 12 grapes as the clock strikes midnight. Finca’s offering a six-course grape tasting/tapa menu. Each is paired with a grape-based libation. $45.

WASATCH BACK

Blue Boar Inn & Restaurant, 1235 Warm Springs Road, Midway

Enjoy the annual Bavarian Splendor celebration on New Year’s Eve. The event includes candlelit dining, dancing to a live band and a midnight toast accompanied by a traditional Alpenhorn. The seven-course prix fixe meal, party, champagne and dancing is $125. Wine pairings are $50.

350 Main, 350 Main Street, Park City

On New Year’s Eve, enjoy contemporary American-, Asian- and Italian-inspired dishes on a four-course prix fixe menu for $125. Main courses include braised barbecue pork osso bucco, five-spiced salmon, cowboy ribeye and butternut squash ravioli. Add lobster tail for $25.

Cisero’s, 306 Main Street, Park City

The restaurant serves its regular menu on New Year’s Eve, but after dinner, head downstairs to the nightclub for a 2014 party. The theme is the Roaring Twenties, and tickets are $50. (Flapper attire encouraged.)

Grub Steak, 2093 Sidewinder Dr., Park City

Enjoy a prix fixe menu for $55.75, ending with Grub Steak’s chocolate lava cake, served with Haagen Daza vanilla ice cream. The full dining menu will also be available.

Waldorf Astoria, 2100 Frostwood Dr., Park City

Powder will be serving a four-course prix fixe menu on New Year’s Eve, including crispy calamari salad, surf and turf and decadent desserts for $130 per person, from 5 p.m. After dinner, head to the Waldorf’s New Year’s Eve celebration and after-party for live entertainment, an open bar and champagne toast. Tickets are $150 for the after party and $250 for dinner and the after party.
