Fixing Our Food would like to give you a tasty reminder of why how and where we get our food is important. A panel of local entrepreneurs (from Forage, Green Urban Lunchbox, Avenues Bistro and Tin Angel Cafe) will give a behind-the-scenes look at sustainable food.
For those new to the subject, sustainable food practices do not harm people, the environment or animals, although definitions vary. The panel will discuss what sustainable food practices are happening in Salt Lake and how local entrepreneurs can get in on the world-saving fun.
Of course, you will get ample opportunity to sample the sustainable foods. Along with the restaurants on the panel, Salt Bistro, Laziz, Even Stevens Sandwiches and Spice Kitchen Incubator (check out our coverage of the new non-profit) will have local foods for you to try.
