It only sounds like a mixed, marie-Antoinette-type message.
For real, during the entire month of April, Squatters and Wasatch Brew Pubs will be taking “Sweet Revenge on Hunger”. That means, every time during April that guests order a “Guilt Free” dessert (Squatters famous Black and Tan Brownie) at a special price of $5,
100% of the proceeds will be donated to Utahans Against Hunger, a local organization that works to ensure that nutrition programs are serving the people who need them most.
In addition, they work with farmers markets to take food stamps so that low-income families can have access to healthier foods.
The donations raised by Squatters and Wasatch will be shared with Hildegard’s Food Pantry in Salt Lake – an organization that is a great resource for families struggling to feed children – and the Christian Center of Park City – an interdenominational, community-focused center that operates the largest food pantry in Summit and Wasatch Counties.
Last year’s promotion raised over $11,000. This year, wtih the help of Nicholas and Company, who has generously agreed to donate all of the ingredients to make the desserts, the goal is even higher.
How much persuasion do you need to order a brownie, anyway??? Have a couple!
And remember, beer and chocolate are a great flavor pair.
