Home cooks, get serious.

Harmons' SLICED cooking competition is for you. But you have to have your entry in by NOON TOMORROW.

If you're selected to compete, Harmons will contact you by April 21st. Each selected contestant will be required to attend an orientation on April 28th from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. You will be given an equipment tour, store tour and be able to ask any questions you may have before the competition date.

The competition is broken into 3 days and a finale, all of which is taking place at the Harmons City Creek Store. Each day, 5 home cooks will show their skills by preparing a specific course. Participating home cooks only compete during one of the three days.

With the assistance of a Harmons Executive Chef, the three winners from the daily course challenges will prepare their winning dishes for approximately 65 dinner guests. The dinner guests and judges will then judge each dish based on the judging criteria listed below.

The cook with the most points awarded by the dinner guests will become the People’s Choice Sliced Champion.

The cook with the most points awarded by the judges will become the Harmons Sliced Champion. (And I'll be one of the judges!)

The Sliced Challenge

The challenge is for each cook to create a dish that will be judged based on taste, appearance and originality using each ingredient from a mystery box, what’s in the kitchen, and that's it!

Once the mystery box is given, each cook will have 2 hours and 30 minutes to prepare his or her dish.
