I pretty much raved about the kickoff to Scott Evans' Summer Somm Series— it featured wines from Santa Giustina and the pairings were stellar start to finish.

So that success makes me even more excited for the next wine dinner which will feature Quinta do Romeu–especially since I know little to nothing about Portugese wines.Here's what I do know: The Menéres family has been producing Port and DOC Douro wines, grown on 60 acres of shale soil land

on its estate, since 1874. And viticulture on Quinta do Romeu has been organic since 1997.

Joao Meneres, winemaker for Quinta do Romeu, will be on hand, as well as Brad Jensen from Bon Vivant, which imports the wine.
