Since the early days of human flight, there has always been something thrilling about an air show.
June 28-29 Hill Air Force Base will host "Warriors Over The Wasatch," an open house and air show featuring the Air Force Thunderbirds and the Army's precision parachute team The Golden Knights. Spectators will also be treated to nearly a dozen aerobatic demonstrations, a heritage aircraft flyover, a jet-powered car and a pyrotechnics display. Don't even ask about the carbon footprint on this show!
On the ground folks can get up close to a deadly Reaper drone (Please, try not to antagonize it!) and various helicopters, fighters, bombers, cargo transports and vintage cars.
Gates open at 8 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. Aerial performances start at 10:30 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday. See the Hill website for scheduled events, security/restricted items, details and contact information.
