Xcel Fitness helps you become the best version of yourself.
Josh Smith founded Xcel in 1997 in Bountiful (now located in Holladay) after noticing the area's health club market was lacking. Smith, having been involved in sports and training most of his life, saw a perfect opportunity to jump into the fitness business. “I wanted to be involved in a business that allowed me to make a difference,” Smith says. “I wanted to have a company that takes care of people.”
When it comes to taking care of clients’ individual needs, Xcel truly excels.
“We take all micro-fitness concepts around the valley and put them under one roof for our clients,” Smith says. Programs, open to clients of all fitness levels, include personal training, yoga, pilates, barre, Crossfit, martial arts, kickboxing, bootcamp, and more. “There’s so much diversity and opportunity in one space,” Smith says.
Smith recognizes that joining a health club can be an intimidating experience, but Xcel knows how to guide people every step of the way and help them reach their goals. “There’s always a reason clients come here, and it’s up to us to find that reason and guide them to execute that,” Smith says. “We understand that results are extremely important. It’s our job to make sure they get there.”
Xcel Fitness knows they're different. It’s what makes them stand out. “There’s a feel and energy here you won’t find at any other gym,” Smith says. “People are passionate and they come to work.”
