Monday, Dec. 22
What: Christmas Movie Classics
When: Dec. 22, 7 p.m.
Where: Library’s Viridian Events Center
What’s happening: The final night of Christmas Movie Classics in West Jordan will feature a screening of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Beginning at 7 p.m., guests can bring their own dinner or snacks for this dinner theatre experience. Popcorn and hot chocolate will be provided along with games following the film.
One Cool Thing: Even though it’s the last movie night provided by the library, families can be inspired and watch together by the fire in the comfort of their homes.
What: Odyssey Dance Theatre’s Christmas Spectacular, SPECTACULAR!
When: Dec. 22, 7:30 p.m.
Where: The Grand Theatre
What’s happening: One of Salt Lake’s favorite dance troupes, Odyssey Dance Theatre presents SPECTACULAR! Leave the Christmas classics to the pros as they dance through popular shows like A Christmas Carol, It’s A Wonderful Life, The Nutcracker, Elf, A Christmas Story and White Christmas.

Tuesday, Dec. 23
What: Joy to the World: A Sacred Celebration
When: Dec. 23, 7 p.m.
Where: Maurice Abravanel Hall
What’s happening: Jenny Oaks Baker and Family Four celebrate together for a night of music at Maurice Abravanel Hall. Audiences can relax into their seats as the orchestra plays through popular Christmas carols arranged by Emmy Award-winning composer Kurt Bestor.
Wednesday, Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve)
What: Santa’s Christmas Eve Torchlight Parade and Fireworks
When: Dec. 24, 6 p.m.
Where: Snowbird Resort
What’s happening: Snowbird will be celebrating with holiday cheer one final night at the Torchlight Parade. Before leaving to drop gifts around the world, Santa makes a stop at the resort, bringing the mountain alive. Ahead of his arrival, the resort will be illuminated by torches as a parade marches through the plaza while fireworks shine above in the sky.
One Cool Thing: This event is annual and is followed by another parade on Dec. 26.
Thursday, Dec. 25 (Christmas Day)
What: Quiet Day
When: Dec. 25
Where: Everywhere
What’s happening: As the holiday reigns in, expect businesses, shops and restaurants to be closed on Christmas Day. Celebrate the holidays from the comfort of your home, surrounded by loved ones and family members.
Friday, Dec. 26
What: Heber Valley North Pole Express
When: Dec. 26, 2 – 5 p.m.
Where: Heber Valley Railroad
What’s happening: Heber Valley Railroad recreates the iconic film The Polar Express with this immersive holiday event! Guests can experience a traditional train ride with the company of Santa Claus and the falling snow. Guests will receive a gift from Santa, hot cocoa, a souvenir mug and all of the Christmas cheer.
One Cool Thing: Hot chocolate only has one rule: Never, ever let it cool!
Saturday, Dec. 27
What: Holiday Tea at Grand America
When: Dec. 27, 11 – 4 p.m.
Where: Grand America Hotel
What’s happening: Wear your holiday best and join The Grand America for a tea party in the lounge. Guests can take a stroll around the hotel, looking at the light fixtures and holiday decor as they sip away at a warm beverage. It’s the perfect way to tie in a week of festivities.
One Cool Thing: This event continues into the new year, so the holiday cheer will be everlasting.
Sunday, Dec. 28
What: RAIN: A Beatles Christmas Tribute
When: Dec. 28, 7 p.m.
Where: Eccles Theatre
What’s happening: Come together and celebrate the remaining days of this year with a holiday special brought to you by your favorite bowl-cut boy band, The Beatles! Playing through the iconic discography of one of the world’s most renowned bands as well as holiday favorites, this is a must-see.
