2011 Ski Season Continues or Why We Ski In May

Here it is folks: Utah has received 701'' of snow YTD or 58 feet. Alta enjoyed a 200-inch base for closing weekend last weekend while Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort broke a 40-year mark and set a record for most snow received in a single season (690 inches and still counting). Showdown on High Rustler- Alta Ends Season With a Bash

It's official. The season - at least in Little Cottonwood Canyon- is far from over. Snowbird's hit an all-time season record for total snowfall at their resort and they're well on their way to breaking Alta's state record of 760 inches in 1983/84. Who Wants The Story?

Usually ski films premiere at the beginning of the season to get the juices flowing and our excitement amped. Such was the case for "The Story" which screened at Brewvies last October. But now that we're halfway through the season it seems like a pretty damn great time to remind you why we skiers would like three more months of winter thank you, please. Gear Review- Yakima LoPro Titanium Skybox 15

I couldn't get into the underground parking garage at Salt Lake Magazine's office yesterday. That was a surprise as I can drive into practically every garage - even with a cargo box on top of my SUV. You're laughing. No seriously I have an SUV with a cargo box and I park in parking garages. I don't like parking on the street. It costs money or there's a time limit; or both. I like garages.
