2012 Dining Awards Ceremony

Salt Lake magazine honored Utah’s best chefs and restaurants at the 2012 Dining Awards ceremony at the Leonardo Museum on Feb. 21. Editors of Jeremy Pugh and Marcie Young Cancio hosted the ceremony, where more than 30 restaurants were honored. The ceremony started with a tribute to Dining Awards Hall of Fame winners and was followed by a reception held among the museum’s exhibits with food catered by Cuisine Unlimited, wine sponsored by Libation and Southern-Odom Spirits West and beer sponsored by Squatters. Nicholas & Co. and nine other businesses also sponsored the event, and the Daniel Day Trio performed for guests. Karen Olson, owner of the recently closed Metropolitan restaurant, won this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
