2012 International Women's Day

The Girl Scouts of Utah kicked their 9th Annual International Women's Day Celebration up a notch with a more chic and modern event than past years designed by Events by LMG at The Complex on March 8. Guests enjoyed food from Le Croissant, entertainment, a silent auction, and, of course, Girl Scout cookie desserts. Mary Nickles of KUTV2 was named the 2012 Distinguished Alumna and gave the keynote address. More than $40,000 was raised at the event for Girl Scouts of Utah programming, specifically for activities related to the Girl Scouts 100th anniversary. The 2012 Girl Scouts' call to action is to close gaps in health and wellness, education, and leadership development opportunities for girls.
