American Cancer Society raised over $674,000 at the 2013 "Driving Hope Home" Gala, sponsored by C.R. England and held at the Grand Building at the Utah State Fairpark on Sept. 26. The event marked the seventh anniversary of the organization's Hope Gala. Country musician Chance McKinney performed throughout the night, and Kim Johnson and Curtis Ray of ABC4 hosted the event. Along with raising money for the Hope Lodge and the society's programs, the ACS celebrated 100 years with a 1913 Model T and 2013 Ferrari on display to demonstrate progression over a century. Kim Johnson gave a "Stories of Hope" presentation, concentrating on cancer patients who will be impacted by the Hope Lodge; and Katie Eccles, the Hope Lodge Campaign Chair, and David England gave keynote speeches.
