Andy's B-day at Tracy Aviary

Andy, the Tracy Aviary's Andean condor, turned 52 years old, and the park celebrated with a party for guests on Jan. 22. The aviary also announced about $6,000 was raised for the Condor Conservation Campaign and the money would go toward a telemetry system to track Andean condors born in captivity and released to the wild. Families learned about Andean condors, ate birthday cake and tried on a 10-foot wing span, the length of a condor's. Guests tripled from last year, and Andy opened a pinata-wrapped gift of beef heart and rabbit.
