The Assistance League of Salt Lake City, a nonprofit set up to respond to community needs affecting everyone from infants to seniors, held their Consociates Auxiliary Women of Distinction Brunch at Cottonwood Club on May 3.
This year's honorees:
Linda Simpson: As an English teacher at Judge Memorial High School, Simpson has gone above and beyond her teaching duties to motivate and inspire students to utilize their skills to expand their own creative pursuits. She is a mentor to younger teachers and collaborates with her colleagues for cross-curricular projects.
Evelyn Sadler: As out liaison to the Jordan School District for Operation Healthy Teeth, and as Director of Education Support Services for all six Title-One schools. Sadler is instrumental in targeting the children in need at these schools for programs the Assistance League can provide. It was her time in the Republic of Kiribati and Guyana where she volunteered at an orphanage, where the needs of children were most critical.
