Canyons' Spring Gruv 2011

Canyons's Spring Gruv pays tribute to the end of ski season with ten days of wild events and concerts from March 25 to April 3. This year, Los Lobos, John Popper & The Duskray Troubadours and Tosh Meets Marley play free concerts, and skiers and snowboarders wear costumes for some downhill into a pond for the resort's famous Pond Skimming Contest. More daredevils put together their own sleds to propel down a snow-covered hill and over a jump in the Red bull Schlittentag. This year's Gruv ends with screening skier Grete Eliassen's new film "Say My Name" at the Grand Summit Hotel.
