Condi Rice & Muir Quartet

Former US Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice, accompanied the Muir Quartet on piano, raising nearly $150,000 for the Deer Valley Music Festival, in a concert at Stein Eriksen Lodge on Jan. 14. The concert sold out in the first few weeks tickets were on sale, and more than 250 guests made it to the show. Rice and the quartet's set list included works by Dvorak and Brahms. Rice originally planned on a career as a concert pianist before she became involved in politics, and the Muir Quartet is known as one of the world's most insightful string ensembles. The Deer Valley Music Festival starts summer 2011.
