2011 Fashion's Night Out

Fashion's Night Out, an evening of discounts, trend shows and fashion, was originally launched in New York in 2009, and held for the first time in Salt Lake City at Fashion Place Mall on Sept. 8. Shoppers lined up well before the event began to receive a swag bag of fashion goodies and have their photo taken on the red carpet with Olympic freestyle aerial skier Emily Cook. More than 40 of the mall's retailers offered discounts, and four stores created trend closets to find the perfect outfit for specific occasions. Models were on hand to show off new trends, and guests could get makeovers at the Dillard's Center Court.
