More than 500 GE Volunteers showed their community spirit at the second annual GE Community Service Day, held at the National Ability Center in Park City, on Oct. 9. In addition to volunteer work, which included helping with construction, painting, organizing and landscaping, GE presented the non-profit with a $13,000 grant. The effort was just part of the company's global initiative to contribute more than 1.3 million hours of service annually. This year's volunteers came from three GE businesses based in SLC—GE Capital, GE Energy and GE Healthcare. The National Ability Center is dedicated to providing therapeutic and recreational activities for people of all ages and abilities.
