Honoring Susan Swartz
Photos by Kevin Kiernan
The National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC recently showcased the work of Utah artist Susan Swartz, and a celebration was held in her honor at the Zions Bank Founders Room in SLC on Oct. 15. Swartz displayed her paintings, including one commissioned by Zions Bank for the new Provo branch, and former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman, Jr. recorded a video tribute for her. The event was hosted by Byron Russell of Byron Russell LLC, Geralyn Dreyfous of Utah Film Center and A. Scott Anderson of Zions Bank. About 150 people attended, including Swartz's peers in the arts, prominent business figures and art collectors. Guests also enjoyed delicious food from Cuisine Unlimited and the spectacular view from the Zions Bank building's 18th floor.
