Junior League 80th Anniversary
Photos by Sprout Photography
The Junior League of Salt Lake City celebrated 80 years of volunteerism and community impact with 150 guests at the Black & White Night at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts on April 16. The theme was 1930s, and guests wore period hats and boas to get their photo taken with a 1929 Roadster. Food was provided by Utah Food Services, and dining tables featured 1930s historical facts and popular flowers from the period. Meridian West Consultants sponsored the open bar, featuring a Manhattan and Champagne Cocktail. Utah Live Bands provided jazz music, while guests browsed a silent auction with a wide range of local products. In addition, Urban talent provided models to assist guests at the event. Nearly $20,000 was raised for the Junior League of Salt Lake City, an organization of 600 women committed to volunteerism and improving the community.
Over the past year, the Junior League of Salt Lake City has supported women and children in the community with projects like the CARE Fair, a free health care clinic and the Women Helping Women Clothing Boutique.
