Slow Food Park City teamed with Swaner EcoCenter to bring more than 30 local farmers, ranchers, bakers and other artisan food producers under one roof to educate the public on their products on March 1. More than 250 guests came to the event, and many brought their own mugs to fill with one of three soups on the house. Slow Food Park City also sold their own custom soup mugs, and prizes ranging from bundles of local grass-fed beef to No Place Like Home gift certificates were given out in opportunity drawings. And many guests went home with food they bought directly from the producers. Slow Food Park City exists to help create positive and lasting change in the food system.
Slow Food Park City presents three films with food pairings, in conjunction with the Park City Film Series, June 1–3.
