pARTy for Rape Recovery

The Rape Recovery Center raised $100,000 at their biggest fundraiser of the year, the pARTy for Rape Recovery at the Emma Eccles Jones Conservatory at Westminster College on April 27. More than 400 guests came to show their support, including Taylorsville Mayor Russ Wall, Rep. Brian King and Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill. Guests bid on artwork, along with items ranging from high-end jewelry to Utah Jazz player autographs, in the silent auction. The live auction included luxury prizes, such as a getaway to The Inn at Mazatlan on the Mexican Riviera, and the center's director Holly Mullen gave a speech recognizing University of Utah student Nancy Ann Little as 2012 Volunteer of the Year. Proceeds will go toward the center's advocacy work, sexual violence therapy, hotline and round-the-clock hospital response team.
