2012 RAWards Finals

RAW, a nationwide arts organization, picked Salt Lake City as one of 54 cities to award local artists with RAWards. The winners were announced at a cocktail party held at The Grand at the Complex on Nov. 15. At the event, guests casted their votes for their favorites among three to five nominees in each craft, ranging from hairstylists to filmmakers. RAW also picked three local judges, photographer Justin Grant, SLC Fashion Night Out developer Michelle Church and pianist Melody Brown, to cast their votes. Comedian Landon Bench hosted the evening, and DJ Dic Dover kept the party going until midnight.

Hairstylist of the year: Hegge Gonzalez
Photographer of the year: David Carter
Fashion designers of the year: Nephi Garcia and Lisa Miller
Musicians of the year: Red Yeti
Accessory designer of the year Ashley Loya
Makeup artist of the year: Heather Shelton
Filmmaker of the year: Heather De'Moreau
Visual artist of the year: Anthony Granato
