On April 9, Ski Utah—the non-profit organization charged with promoting all 14 Utah ski resorts—held it's Media Day at Snowbird Resort. Representatives from local media outlets, along with public relations and marketing representatives from Utah resorts, were on hand for a day of skiing and education. After a breakfast, guests skied off in groups to explore the mountain and take photos for an Instagram scavenger hunt—where everyone was entered into a raffle once for every specified shot they were able to find. Check out the photo submissions on Instagram, #skiutahmediaday.
During lunch, guests enjoyed a presentation by University of Utah Professor Jim Steenburgh
, who shared excerpts from his upcoming book, Secrets of the Greatest Snow on Earth. Ski Utah also presented several journalism awards: Curtis Ray, of ABC 4 Utah, snagged the Ski Utah Weather Enthusiast of the Year award; and Park City TV received the Ski Utah Excellence in Journalism award.
