Salt Lake magazine held Tastemakers, two days highlighting local restaurants for more than 1,200 guests, on May 17–18 in the parking lot near Squatters in SLC. Guests used tasting passes to sample food from 10 restaurants that set up booths in a pavilion, along with nine others on a tasting stroll of downtown. A portion of the event's proceeds went to Salt Lake Head Start, and restaurants also gave out raffle tickets for prizes like Ogio bags provided by Alsco and a stay at the Little America Hotel.
