Salt Lake magazine presented downtown, SLC’s premier outdoor food and wine tasting event, Tastemakers, on May 30–31. Local restaurants, including Dining Awards winners Caffe Niche and Aristo's, offered samples to guests in a pavilion at Gallivan Plaza, while nearby restaurants, including J. Wong’s, Squatters and Ruth’s Chris offered small plate items on a stroll of the city. New this year, a VIP pavilion included exclusive samples from Roots Café, Saffron Valley, Frida Bistro and Aristo’s. Guests were also able to get drinks and use their Tastemakers passes for specials at participating restaurants throughout the summer. A portion of proceeds benefited Salt Lake Head Start.
