2018 Deer Valley Music Festival Lineup Announced

Ah, springtime in Utah. Maybe there’s still a touch of snow on the ground, but the summer concert announcements keep rolling in just the same.

There’s no place that transitions from winter to summer quite as much as Deer Valley. It goes from winter wonderland to summer concert paradise in a matter of a few months. With the announcement of the Deer Valley Music Festival lineup, that change feels closer than ever.

Each year, The Utah Symphony changes venues, from urban Abravanel Hall to the alpine air of Park City at the Deer Valley Resort clamshell. At Deer Valley the scene is much more relaxed than the symphony’s home in the sometimes stuffy concert hall. You can reserve seats or go with a general admission ticket, bring a picnic blanket, snacks and BYOB—or go for the resort’s always delicious boxed dinner service. Kids are free to run around and you are free to dance.

During the Deer Valley run, the symphony introduces special programming (Disney and John Williams-themed shows, for example) and they incorporate popular singers backed by the orchestra—guest vocalists this year include Amos, Kristen Chenoweth and, in case you ever wondered the difference between a fiddle and a violin, Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder. And, as always, the 1812 Overture is not to be missed.

Concert tickets for the general public will go on sale here on April 17, 2018 at 10 a.m.
