A Saturday afternoon spent with free tomato sandwiches? Yes, please.
Wasatch Community Gardens has teamed up with area restaurants to sponsor Tomato Days Dine-Around, today through Sept. 15. During that time, if you order a tomato-themed item from 3 Cups, Even Stevens, Laziz, Les Madeleines and The Tin Angel Cafe, a portion of the proceeds will be go to the Community Gardens.
Wasatch Community Gardens is also hosting a Tomato Sandwich Party, Saturday, Sept. 9, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Grateful Tomato Garden, 800 S. 600 East. Meet the gardeners and enjoy—free—a delicious heirloom tomato and pesto sandwich. It’s Wasatch Garden’s way of saying “thank you” to the community that has supported it for over 28 years.
