BEST OF LOGAN Each year, the editors and writers at Salt Lake magazine scour the state for the best of, well, everything. We eat the food, shop at the shops, drink the beer, go to the shows, to guide you to the Best of the Beehive. It’s hard work, we know. You’re welcome. Check back each week for another dose of the Best of the Beehive. Or just buy the magazine already to get it over with.—Eds.
Best Dose of Vitamin D: The Wind Caves
This moderate biking/hiking trail is a favorite for Cache County Residents—and for good reason. The scenic hike to the Wind Caves is good for dogs (as long as they’re kept on a leash) and owners alike and, although your dog probably won’t notice, the views are beautiful. But be prepared: The first 10 minutes of the hike have you walking through water. logancanyonhiking.com/windcave.htm
Best Sugar Rush: The Chocolate Festival
Enjoying chocolate just got sweeter. Logan’s Chocolate Festival has silent and live auctions, a raffle and enough sugar to satisfy even the sweetest of tooths with up to 75 donated desserts made with every chocolate imaginable. Plus, all funds raised by the event go to support Logan’s Clinic and Planned Parenthood services. 615 Riverwood Pkwy., thechocolatefest.com

Take a step back in time at the American West Heritage Center with one of their Historic Adventures: Explore a mountain man camp, a Native American exhibit and a 19th-century pioneer village, complete with cow milking and wood working. Best Way to Get a Recognizable Bumper Sticker: Angie’s
The bumper sticker is ubiquitous in the Beehive State, but Angie’s has a lot more to offer than just obscene amounts of ice cream in their infamous “kitchen sink sundae”. It may be “where the locals eat,” but this hometown diner has something for everyone. If you really want the bumper sticker, you’d better bring your 10 closest friends to empty that sink. 690 N.
