Art & The Body, A Guided Meditation

Start Your Day with Stillness and Art with Kimball Art Center and Haum Meditation on a guided exploration of the connection between art and the body.

Haum Meditation’s primary focus is group guided meditation classes and mindfulness education to Park City and the surrounding communities.

This session will encourage a state of mindfulness and relaxation, inviting a deep connection within themselves and art. A guided practice to enhance well-being physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically, spiritually, and environmentally. Meditation styles range from a variety of traditional techniques and combination of mindfulness

Through our exhibition programming with Haum Meditation, guests will go through a guided meditation and have the perfect opportunity to practice mindfulness, reflect, enhance wellbeing, and enjoy art. The connection between art and our bodies, will be explored through the opportunity learn about Brie Ruais, one of our exhibition artists who explores movement, intimacy between the clay and her body. Almost all of her ceramic sculptures are produced using the same amount of clay, specifically 130 pounds, the equivalent of her body weight. All levels of experience welcome and encouraged to practice self-care, non-judgement, and acceptance for self, art, and community.
