Craft Lake City Lunch & Learn with Utah Community Action

April 21, 2021 @ 6:00 am

Join the Craft Lake City team members for a free virtual discussion inspired by Local Voices: Utah Community Action on Wed., April 21 at noon. In this public online event, attendees will be invited to share their thoughts and ask questions about the streetside plakat exhibition along Broadway between West Temple and 200 East in downtown Salt Lake City and Utah Community Action’s (UCA) comprehensive services for income-eligible families. UCA created six designs for the plakat frames, each highlighting one of their six core programs—Head Start, Adult Education, Case Management & Housing, Nutrition, HEAT, and Weatherization—which address barriers to self-reliance to empower individuals, strengthen families and build communities through education programs. The Local Voices series is curated and organized by Craft Lake City, with support from The Center for the Living City and The Temporary Museum of Permanent Change.

This event is free but registration is required to attend.

Craft Lake City’s year-round programming is supported in part by the residents of Salt Lake County through the Zoo, Arts & Parks (ZAP) Program, the Salt Lake City Arts Council, the George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation, the Stephen G. & Susan E. Denkers Family Foundation, and Utah Arts & Museums, with funding from the State of Utah and the National Endowment for the Arts. The 13th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival Presented By Harmons is sponsored by Google Fiber, Mark Miller Subaru and XMission, with funding from the Salt Lake City Mayor’s Office.
