Event Details

Please join Salt Lake Gallery Stroll and Mark Twight for an evening of imagery from his latest book REFUGE. A fine art, photo journal that documents Mark’s journey from the mountains back down to the valley. STORY PRESENTATION 7PM

During his career as a professional climber Twight made first ascents in the Alps, Himalayas, Alaska and the Canadian Rockies. Upon retirement he began training elite military personnel, combat athletes and actors for roles in the movies, “300”, “Man of Steel”, “Wonder Woman” and “Justice League” among others. Whether climbing or working he documented his travel with a camera and pen. His first two books earned several awards and are published in seven countries.

In 2017, Mark Twight and Michael Blevins founded a media company in Salt Lake City producing periodicals, books and a weekly podcast that examines the intersection between art and action, the philosophy of effort and the active expression of it.
