Description
Bombs and Beating Hearts, the Utah based folk punk band known for their unorthodox, and sometimes illegal, venue choices is returning to the Salt Lake concert landscape this October. Shaking up the streets of Salt Lake City, the band made use of acoustic instruments to play a folk-informed style of punk music; the lack of electronic instruments afforded them the ability to play shows at parks, laundromats, and even a UTA TRAX train. After five years, four albums, and a few arrests, the band called it quits in 2009. They later released an album of new music to raise money for a friend in need in 2012.
A decade later the band has announced a one-time reunion show in Salt Lake City on October 14, 2019. Sharing the spotlight are fellow Utah punk rockers Problem Daughter, Salt Lake City singer songwriter Petr Czubak, and folk musician Brook Pridemore from New York City. The all ages concert will take place at The Beehive (666 S State Street). Cost is $10 per person; music starts at 7pm.
