Description

Current Work - SLC's newest contemporary art gallery - presents "Friends of Friends," featuring work by 16 artists from 8 cities across Utah, the US, and Mexico.

Eight artists working with a variety of mediums, concepts, and styles were each asked to recommend an artist whose work they admire. The result is a glimpse into how quickly connections expand, creating relationships across state and national borders. "Friends of Friends" will be open to the public during gallery stroll from 6-9 pm on September 16 and by appointment through September 30.

Participating artists: Kelly Breez, Nic Courdy, Cara Despain, Michael Ryan Handley, Amber Heaton, Colour Maisch, Benny Merris, Kristen Mitchell, Sofía Ortiz, Jared Ragland, Fazilat Soukhakian, John Sproul, Jared Steffensen, Lane Twitchell, Gary Vlasic, and Charles Edward Willliams.
