We’re offering snapshots of the libations competing in Salt Lake magazine’s annual Farm to Glass Cocktail Contest, here’s Provision’s cocktail.
The Farmers Daughter
Place in shaking tin:
- 1/3 cup fresh sweet corn
- 1/4 roasted beet
- .75 oz fresh lime juice
- .75 oz raw sugar simple syrup
- Muddle for 10 to 15 seconds.
- Add in same tin,
- 1.5 oz of ransom old tom gin
- .25 oz Benedictine
- 1 pinch of smoked salt
- 1 dash habanero bitters
- 1 egg white
Dry shake ingredients to froth the egg white. Then add ice and shake again. Double strain into a martini glass and garnish with 6 drops of sage bitters and cayenne pepper.
