It’s been really heartwarming the concern I’ve heard about the well-being of our restaurant community. Salt Lake’s restaurant scene is young, fueled largely by idealism, dreams, talent and—usually—too little capital. Most places don’t have the financial depth for extreme hard times like these. And the public clearly loves our restaurants and takes great pride in them. Today I received this from a reader:

Many people don’t realize they can buy gift cards to use at a future date. This will hold them over until they are able to open again. This website aggregates all of the local restaurants and links to their gift card pages. People can also submit their favorite restaurants. I’m updating it every night.
