If you’re sick of brunch being synonymous with cheap waffles and greasy omelets, ditch the diners by checking out a new brunch destination: Kimi’s Chop and Oyster House. They celebrated their foray into the brunch game last weekend (February 4th and 5th) and are now offering brunch each Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
They’ll be offering high-class breakfast food such as the “Sloppy Kimi” which entails a minced beef tenderloin stewed in house-crafted sloppy sauce, white cheddar and creamy slaw on a warm ciabatta bun. There will also be more gourmet versions of iconic breakfast dishes such as a veggie omelet (sautéed mushrooms, roasted tomatoes, arugula, roasted baby peppers, white cheddar ) and pacific salmon toast (sautéed salmon, soft-poached egg, arugula, butter-fried sour dough, hollandaise, micro greens). And (thankfully) they’re not too proud to serve the classics such as banana pancakes and croissants. For their full menu, click here.
What else is new at Kimi’s, you ask? (We’re glad you did.) They’re now also serving $5 Mimosa’s and $7 Jalapeño Bacon and Spicy Shrimp Bloody Mary’s. So we’ll get right to it — to make reservations, call 801-946-2079. And hurry up, Sunday morning is waiting.
Kimi’s Chop and Oyster House is located at 2155 S. Highland Drive, SLC.
