Ogden’s 2018 Twilight Concert Series Line Up

Written by: Ashley Szanter and Devon Alexander Brown

The fate of the Twilight Concert Series looked grim last year until the Salt Lake Arts Council Foundation teamed up with Broadway Media for a one-year agreement.

Yet, Northern Utahns had one question: What about us?

The Ogden Twilight Concert Series picked up in 2015 and has enjoyed a steady rise in popularity over the subsequent seasons. When it was first announced that the Salt Lake series would be canceled, Jared Allen, founder of the Ogden series, pounced on the opportunity to up the ante and secure more touring acts.

Traditionally held every Thursday evening of June, this year will feature a second session of bands over the course of July and August. Headlining acts such as Little Dragon and Cold War Kids can be expected throughout the month of June. Sylvan Esso, Broken Social Scene and CHVRCHES will make appearances in July and August.

Concerts are held at the outdoor Ogden Amphitheater which seats 7,000. And, thanks to a $30,000 Weber County Recreation, Arts, Museums, Parks grant, new sun shades and an updated sound system will be installed before the June 1 kickoff date.

Gates open at 5 p.m., with local bands taking the stage at 6 p.m. Headliners are scheduled to perform at 8:30 p.m. General Admission Season Ticket packages and VIP Season Ticket packages are available for purchase here. Tickets for individual events are also available and can be found online and at all Graywhale locations.

But Ogden Twilight comes with other perks. All Ogden Twilight tickets come with included FrontRunner train fare–so there is no more excuse to not pop up north for one of these spectacular shows. In fact, we suggest you make an entire day of it.

Before the show, grab dinner at one of Downtown Ogden’s many delicious restaurants. They have something for everyone in the family whether your craving Smokey’s BBQ & Grill or some delicious honey toast at Ramen Haus. After the show, you can keep the night going at local bars Harp & Hound, Lighthouse Lounge, Alleged or Funk ‘N Dive.
