Preview: Damn These Heels Film Festival

The Utah Film Center is back with their 14th annual Damn These Heels Film Festival. The event, which showcases films exploring LGBTQ issues and ideas, will run July 14-16 at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, featuring 21 films from 15 countriesall of which were selected by a programming committee, including teens from Utah Pride’s Youth Activity Center.

Director of Programming, Patrick Hubley, says, “This dynamic line up includes a wide range of styles from comedies, to sci-fi thrillers and issue-driven documentaries from around the world. Throughout the program, our artists explore love, acceptance and self expression as powerful but often understated themes. Though the storytelling is diverse, the films highlight our shared humanity and the need to feel accepted for who we are, no matter our circumstances.”

You can find tickets and passes to the festival at Utah Film Center’s website. Passes to the event get you the most bang for your buck, giving you access to multiple films and perks ranging from discounts on merchandise to Opening and Closing night party invitations. Utah Film Center is a non-profit, so get out and support local organizations while also enjoying award-winning films.
