2023 September – October

Salt Lake magazine’s September/October cover story is a star-studded preview of the upcoming 2023 Fall Season of Utah’s professional performing arts companies—including theater, dance, opera and symphony and spotlights on stellar local talent like RDT choreographer Natosha Washington. 

Salt Lake magazine presents 20 of the best bartenders in Utah, who are competing in the 2023 Farm-To-Glass Cocktail Contest. Members of the public are invited to judge their efforts by visiting participating bars, trying their cocktails and voting for their favorites online. The contest runs Sept.1–Oct. 31, 2023. 

Also featured are the stories of the millions of birds that migrate to the Great Salt Lake every year. Salt Lake magazine contributor Clarissa Casper collects these stories from wildlife experts, nature guides and bird-watchers—revealing an ecosystem that is out of balance.

Park City Life, editor Tony Gill highlights a new Main Street restaurant, Firewood, and fall food and drink festivals.  On The Table editor Lydia Martinez ​​jams out on jams with Amour Spreads, cans with Cache Canning and gets a hands-on how-to on butchering a whole hog at Beltex Meats.
