There may still be some snow left in the mountains, but one step outside lets you know that summer is definitely here with some muscle. One of the best ways to enjoy the season is to go out and experience Utah Symphony’s summer community concert series. Aside from their summer home at the Deer Valley Music Festival, you can catch The Beatles cover band, Imagine, together with the Utah Symphony at Taylorsville Dayzz on June 22.
Want something a little more contemporary? You can also attend “La La Land in Concert” at the USANA Amphitheatre on June 24th. Be there to see the entire film, with the symphony bringing Justin Hurwitz’s Oscar award-winning score to life. You can also find something for the traditionalist in your life by attending Beethoven’s Symphony No. 8 at the Gallivan Center on June 26th, or try to expose them to new twists on old classics by catching GENTRI with the Utah Symphony at Thanksgiving Point on June 28th.
You can cap off your June outdoor music experience, and start your July 4th celebrations early, by attending Patriotic Celebration, featuring Lisa Vroman, on June 30th at Snowbasin Resort.
If you plan to attend any of the events at the Gallivan Center or Taylorsville Dayzz, no ticket purchase is required. For more information, or to purchase tickets for other performances, you can visit www.utahsymphony.org.
