Get Your Corsets and Flagons Out: It’s Ren Faire Time

Do you like walking around outdoors and eating roasted turkey legs? (They’re so big, like giant chickens!) OK then. Take your family up to Ogden for the closing weekend of the Utah Renaissance and Fantasy Faire happening in Marriott-Slaterville. A straight shot up I-15, you can spend the weekend in the area taking in all the wackiness that Ren Faires have to offer, or simply stay a few hours to take in the craftsman’s goods, animals and jousting shows.

The longest running Ren Faire in Utah always encourages guests to dress up, but fret not if you don’t have medieval garb—the faire welcomes everyone from pirates to faeries, and this weekend is a specially themed Steampunk weekend for all you steam obsessed types.

You can enjoy equestrian archery demonstrations and the Knightly Equestrian Games all while supporting several non-profits who participate in the Faire every year. Tickets are $12 for adults and children aged 6-12 are $8. All children ages 5 and under are free of charge. And, if you needed any more incentive to wear a costume, any patron wearing renaissance clothing gets a $2 discount (as do military and first responders).

For more information or to buy tickets, you can visit their website or Facebook Event.

Embrace ye inner Lord or Lady, and thou doth, um, whatever.
