Experiences
Staff Name: Melissa Fields, Writer
What to Gift: Snowshoeing and Yoga in a Guardman Pass Yurt with Park City Yoga Adventures
Why I Love it: This is a great way to celebrate the holidays with a group of friends. The adventure begins with a short snowshoe hike to this super cute yurt up just off of Guardman Pass. Before your session, you’ll get to enjoy a hot cup of tea. At the end, everyone snowshoes back down the mountain. This excursion can be made even more special by adding on a post-yoga charcuterie board and toast with a bottle of Dendric Dry Cider, made just down the mountain in Kamas at Dendric Estate.
Staff Name: Avrey Evans, Managing Editor
What to Gift: Caputo’s Tasting Classes
Why I Love It: A class from Caputo’s is the perfect gift for the in-laws that have everything, or the food-obsessed bestie. Choose from a variety of cuisines like the “Tour of Italy,” the “Chocolate 101” or wine classes. Certain classes are offered both in-person and virtual, but I always opt for at-home classes. Caputo’s will send a package of goodies a few days before, all you have to do is join the Zoom, open a compatible bottle of vino and follow along with experienced educators and your classmates! Classes available at Caputos.com.
Staff Name: Mariah Maynes, Associate Digital Editor
What to Gift: An America the Beautiful Pass to all the National Parks
Why I Love It: Living in Utah, we’re lucky to be in proximity to five fabulous national parks, all of which are worth visiting. Whether you’re looking to soak in the views, challenge yourself on the hiking trails or go camping, this pass is worth it if you’re planning on getting more than one park trip in in 2026. Need inspiration? Read the guides I wrote about visiting Capitol Reef, Zion and Bryce earlier this year for National Park Trips.

Staff Name: Chelsea Rushton, Art Director
What to Gift: Lagoon Season Pass
Why I Love It: It’s a fun gift that allows people to break up the workweek by riding a rollercoaster or spending time with family and friends on weekends. I get the Black Friday deal for my partner every year.
Staff Name: Autumn Thatcher, Writer
What to Gift: Ofuro Bath at Kura Door
Why I Love It: Sure, the Ofuro Bath immerses you into a soothing tub of hot water filled with detoxifying oils and scents that lure you into a state of calm while relaxing music plays somewhere in the distance, but it also has the power to make you believe that time can stand still. Who doesn’t need that?
Food, Drink & Goods
Staff Name: Kimmy Hammons, Graphic Designer
What to Gift: Merch from Aloreing, my Podcast
Why I Love It: “Love creepin’ it real during the holiday season?” Give homemade cryptid-inspired goodies this season. My personal favorite is the mothman plushie from Aloreing Podcast. If a candle feels more cozy, they’re available too.

Staff Name: Darby Doyle, Writer
What to Gift: DIY bougie hot cocoa from Ritual Chocolate and Waterpocket Distillery
Why I Love It: Heber-based Ritual Chocolate is one of my absolute favorite local brands, both for the amazing quality of their craft chocolate and their gorgeous “slap a ribbon on it and you’re set” packaging. Mini or full-size bars make for lovely stocking stuffers or host gifts. Make it even better by pairing a tasty drinking chocolate blend with a bottle of local booze—like Ritual’s Mid Mountain Blend Drinking Chocolate with a bottle of equally gorgeously labeled Minthe liqueur or Testamint Peppermint Schnapps from Waterpocket Distillery—makes for superbly spirited season’s gifting.
Staff Name: Jaime Winston, Writer
What to Gift: The Sweet Tooth Fairy Cakebites
Why I Love It: The Sweet Tooth Fairy is a go-to for impressing out-of-state family members, especially with their cakebites, which are like bite-sized pieces of cake in a sweet shell. The red velvet ones are a favorite.
Staff Name: Luis Henriques, Production Manager
What to Gift: A gift card to Blue Copper Coffee
Why I Love It: It’s a perfect gift for anyone even remotely interested in great coffee. Blue Copper is one of the best roasters in Salt Lake, and a gift card supports local business. Plus, their 900 South location is such a cozy hangout spot.
Staff Name: Megan Bartholomew, Executive Editor, Utah Style and Design
What to Gift: Custom Maps from Lord of Maps
Why I Love It: First of all: LOCAL artist! Hooray! These are fun for the holidays, but I also love to gift them for all sorts of milestones, whether it be someone going to school out of state, returning from a mission trip, moving for a new job, etc. It can be a way to reflect on your roots (I’ve hung the Utah map in every home I’ve moved to over the years), or celebrate a new adventure.
Staff Name: Jodi Nelson
What to Gift: Comfrt sweatshirt & sweatpants
Why I Love It: Reasonably priced, high quality, and oh-so-comfy!
