Kingsbury Hall

Kingsbury Hall, on the University of Utah Campus, opened its doors on May 22, 1930. Since then, many names such as Maude Adams, Harry Belafonte, Vincent Price, Carol Channing, Keene Curtis, and Eleanor Roosevelt, amongst others, have appeared on the Kingsbury stage. Local performing arts companies such as the Utah Symphony |Utah Opera, Ririe Woodbury, Ballet West and Repertory Dance Theatre all got their start at Kingsbury Hall.

In 1996, Kingsbury Hall went under a $14 million renovation, re-vamping everything from the lobbies, bathrooms and dressing rooms, to building a plaza area in front of the building and creating a larger stage to accommodate needs.

In 2001, Kingsbury Hall created their own presenting series called Kingsbury Hall Presents. It has brought in many world-renowned artists such as Alvin Ailey, Pilobolus, Bobby McFerrin, Martha Graham and Donny Osmond.

In 2015, to reflect an expanded mission, Kingsbury Hall Presents became UtahPresents. The mission of UtahPresents, as a multi-disciplinary presenter at the University of Utah, is to bring diverse artistic and cultural experiences to campus and the region, exploring and enriching the human experience through the lens of creativity and the arts.

As stewards of the iconic Kingsbury Hall, we provide a valuable gathering space for community events and campus partners. Through a breadth of collaborations, UtahPresents encourages curiosity, enhances cultural vibrancy, and creates connections beyond the stage.
