Join us at Scion Cider Bar for our First Winter Wassail Celebration
The ritual of WASSAIL! is an ancient English tradition of blessing the apple orchards in January & chasing evil spirits away to ensure a bountiful harvest in the new year –
“WAES HAEL” – means “be healthy!” –
“DRINC HAEL” – “drink to your heath!” –
All day long, we’ll be pouring our traditional WASSAIL (hot mulled cider) alongside WAES HAEL cider from Frecon Orchards & toasting together with fun new taproom traditions & community chants.
We’ll have another special WINTER SOUP from C9 Market in the kettle – available all day (while limited supplies last)
5 PM – 6:3O PM – decorate your own SPIRIT wreath (traditional headwear for the orchard blessing) & a create a magical wand to ward away the evil spirits with these traditional noise makers to beat away the bad juju, and welcome only GREAT JUICE!
6:30PM – SCIONEER WASSAIL & COMMUNITY TOAST
7 PM – The lights drop down & the crowns light up for our GLOW & FLOW PARTY all night with House DJ JAMES C keeping the good vibes & the bar staff keeping the spirits flowing all night long
