God Hates Robots, an experimental art gallery in Salt Lake City, is pleased to announce their August exhibition, “Decomposure” by Sarah Milne.
The artist describes her style: “I collected images that I loved and that really spoke to me, put them together and found an obvious answer in old paper. I have always loved old paper; the rest is history. I find cheap old books and ephemera at second-hand shops and antique stores, tear them apart then let the colors and textures inspire my art. When looking for material I browse for colors, textures and love finding treasures with signs of life like handwriting, stains, marks and notes. I love the creative process and make art because I have to, just for me.”
The “Decomposure” exhibit runs from August 18 through September 8. An opening reception will be held on August 18 from 6 pm – 9 pm. God Hates Robots is located at 314 West Broadway in Salt Lake City. They are open Monday through Friday, from 11 am to 5 pm.
