Preview: TEDx Untamed

What do the producer of Batman, an MIT Fellow and Snapchat star “Shonduras” have in common? They’re all speaking at the upcoming TEDx Ogden event this Friday, June 16. TEDx talks, an off-shoot of the prestigious TED organization, are independently organized events that bring local people together “through thought-provoking speaks and mind-blowing conversation.” On the docket to bring innovative ideas to Northern Utah:

-Michael Uslan, Producer of Batman
-Shaun McBride “Shonduras,” the largest organic following on Snapchat + 1 million Youtube Subscribers and Forbes 30 under 30
-Andrea Chegut, Head of Design X at MIT
-Elatia Abate, High Energy Career Coach. Former Director of Recruitment for Dow Jones & Company.
-Amir Jackson, Founder of Nurture the Creative Mind
-Derek DeBruin, Extreme Outdoors Guide and WSU faculty for Outdoor Recreation
-A Founder of Summit and Powder Mountain
-Paige Pitcher, MIT Fellow

While tickets will run you $100 (TEDx events are limited and exclusive), you’ll get an entire evening of entertainment complete with two social hours and an afterparty. You can find more information on TEDx Ogden’s Facebook Page. There are still some tickets available, so be sure to snatch them up while you can! smithtix.com

Note: The “x” in “TEDx” stands for “independently organized events.” Any headline or text which implies “TED” is coming to Ogden is misleading.
