Westminster Performing Arts Center

The Westminster Performing Arts Center, part of the Jewett Center for the Performing Arts on Westminster University’s Salt Lake City campus, is a vibrant cultural hub for both students and the Sugar House community. The facility includes multiple performance venues—Vieve Gore Concert Hall, Jay W. Lees Courage Theatre, Dumke Student Theatre, Jones Recital Hall, and Sorenson‑Fenton Performance Studio—each equipped with modern ADA accommodations, including wheelchair-accessible seating, elevators, assistive listening systems, and digital programs.

Throughout the year, the center hosts a wide array of public events. Theatre productions—such as the underground hit Ride the Cyclone—dance showcases like Tidal Motion, chamber music concerts, opera performances, flamenco, faculty recitals, and the Classical Greek Theatre Festival bring professional-grade experiences to campus. Signature series like GLINT project dance across campus architecture, while the Westminster Concert Series features both local and guest artists 

Florence J. Gillmor Hall, adjacent to the main center, adds classroom, rehearsal, and recital spaces—including a 93‑seat recital hall—plus a spacious lobby ideal for receptions and exhibitions. Whether attending a student-led musical, a world-music ensemble, or a faculty recital, visitors consistently enjoy high-caliber performances in an accessible, engaging, and community-focused setting.
