Makers Market makes Holiday Gift-giving Easy

UPDATE: The Salt and Honey Market is putting on a pop-up social media scavenger hunt on Thursday, Dec. 20. The fun starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 7 p.m. Their “giving bus” will make its way around SLC visiting locally owned small shops with presents for all who meet up with the Salt & Honey team. This magical bus will be circulating around town to locations like Salt & Honey Makers Market, new KILN co-working space and local favorite, LaBarba Coffee. WaffleLuv will be outside the Salt & Honey location at The Gateway at 4 p.m.

HOW IT WORKS: People can learn about each new location by following along on their phones. Follow The Salt & Honey Instagram feed where the giving team will place three clues in their stories of where they are going next with a picture of the location. There will be 10 shops in all and at each local shop they will give away gifts out of the trunk of their car to everyone who meets them there. And here’s some hashtags.

Homemade holidays In the summer, finding local artists is easy—there are summer markets and countless art festivals to find the perfect one-of-a-kind gift. In the winter—AKA Holiday gift-giving season—there are fewer options to get our local gift on. That is, until now. Salt & Homey Market, located in The Gateway, combines a retail shop experience with good old-fashioned artisans. A combination of local vendors converge on the space to sell their wares—fine art, jewelry, clothing, beauty products and even vintage items all have a space at Salt & Honey.

The Maker’s Market, especially for holiday shopping, will be open from November 23-December 22. 12 S. Rio Grande St., SLC, saltandhoneymarket.com
